Are Recurring Seizures With Fever Normal While Having Pneumonia?
My husband is 56 years old. A couple days ago he was diagnosed with pneumonia. He is taking his breathing treaments and antibiotics. Over this weekend he has had 2 seizures. The first one he started to cough, all of the sudden his eyes rolled back in his head his whole body stiffened up and he started convulsions. It lasted between 30 and 45 seconds. He had no memory when it stopped, but since he was running a high fever i contributed it to it. The next day he had another one, gasped for air, then it happend again. Lasting for about 60 seconds or so. Again it was when his temperature had went back up. Is this common with a temperature of 101 to 102 or do we need to seek out a neurologist to run tests? Im worried.

It is not common Fever must be controlled and seizures must be rule out and accordingly treatment must be done consult a Physician as quick as possible.
