Are Rashes On Hands, Wrists And Breasts Due To High Prolactin Levels?

I have been told I have high prolactin levels and awaiting results from a brain scan. I have developed a rash which is getting worse, it seems to come and go at any particular time. Normally affecting my hands, wrists and breasts. Can this be due to the high prolactin hormone?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
High prolactin level is associated with some disorder of pituitary gland.
Prolactin is secreted by pituitary gland and abnormality pf pituitary will lead to excessive secretion of prolactin.
Excessive prolactin secretion is associated with menstrual abnormalities in females, excessive secretion of milk from breasts etc.
However, development of rashes is not associated with high levels of prolactin.
Rash on hands, wrist and breasts can be due to primary skin disease or viral infection.
A clinical assessment of the rashes of various parts of body is required for clinical assessment and thus treatment.
Rashes if due to viral infection is usually associated with fever.
I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment.

Thanks and take care
