Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello. I m 25 I was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy when I was young. It went undetected and misdiagnosed for the first 10 years of life but I ve never taken medication for it because I haven t had the means to afford the care or prescriptions. 9 months ago I started getting nosebleeds almost on a daily basis. I have a strong inclination that they are linked with my blood pressure but I m not sure. I had never had a nosebleed in my life up until that point and idk what to do

General & Family Physician, Dr. Prakruthi's Response
Hi it does look like your BP is out of control which is causing the nose bleed. Do you experience dizziness blurring of vision ? Since you have an underlying heart condition too visiting a doctor regularly is essential for you. Can you figure out a way to make some extra money for a health insurance? It will be one of the best investments you will make in your life. Apart from that I suggest you avoid salt in your diet. Exercise regularly though it should be within tolerable limits. If u feel faint or uncomfortable stop immediately. Brisk walking should be enough and not some major weight lifting or high intensity workouts. Also relaxation techniques like Yoga and meditation may help you to a certain extent. Although i have to warn you that these tips are no substitute to seeing a doctor. I wish you good health. Take care :)
