Are Myofascial Pain Syndrome And Thoracic Pain Syndrome Due To Neck Injury?

Yes i have a question I have been diagnosed with giant cell arteritis. 5 months ago started on prednisone and developed diabetes. I am now on methoextrate injection once a week to get me to a lower dose of prednisone. I have a history of a severe whiplash from car accident five years ago. left me with painn on right side of body head neck and back, myofacial pain syndrome and thoracic outlet syndrome. I take botox injections to help with chronic pain. What role might the whiplash play if any in all of this inflammation.

dear patient you have a very good question.Because of whiplash injury which is nothing but a type of compression force injury which compresses your chest inside with a rapid and large force causing internal damage.due to which you developed neck pain injury and thoracic outlet syndrome. this injury will not interfere with giant cell arteritis treatment. both are caused due to different reasons.
