Hello, and I hope I can help you today.
I do not know how pregnant you are, but if you are under 9 weeks the pills you were prescribed (I am assuming they were Misoprostil 200 mg) will usually cause you to pass the
pregnancy within 24 hours. The cramps and
diarrhea are side effects that show the medication is working. It is not unusual for you if you have a "tilted" uterus to have cramping referred to your
rectum because your uterus likely tilts towards your back, which is called retroverted. It is actually completely normal to have a
retroverted uterus, it actually occurs in up to 20 percent of women.
So if you do not pass tissue (looks like pink meat in the red blood) after 24 hours I suggest you see a physician and have an
ultrasound examination to see if the pregnancy is still in your uterus. You may want to see a different doctor than who attempted your surgical procedure, as in experienced hands performance of a first trimester surgical termination even with a retroverted uterus is definitely possible especially if the procedure is performed under ultrasound guidance.
I hope this information was helpful and please seek medical attention if the medication was not successful in 24 hours.
