Are Low Heart Beats Symptoms Of Leaky Heart Valves?

I have 2 leaky heart valves, tricuspid & mitral . I have had this diagnosis about 3 years. I have noticed my heart rate has been staying in the low 50 s during the day and low 40 s at night.I am due to see my cardiologist in 2 mo. I take verapmil 360mg hctz 50 and metroplol tartrate25 2times and warfarin 2-3 plus low dose aspirin every day. Should i move my appt up because of these low numbers. they cause SOB.

hello
hope you are in good health
your low heart beat is due to verapamil and metoprolol. they are given to keep your heart rate down so that the heart can fill adequately in the reating phase and subsequently pump more blood to the body organs in the contracting phase. it also increases the coronary artery blood flow which is the heart own blood supply. low heart rate is unlikely to cause SOB. cause of SOB maybe different. you have to get evaluated ..I see no need to move your appointment up, unless you have symptoms like dizziness or fainting.
