Are Joint Pain Due To Thyroid Problems?

I have suffered with an overactive thyroid gland for a number of years and eventually had radioactive iodine treatment to kill the gland and then suffered underactive symptoms until now i have regualted the gland and take Throxine daily.
The problem is my legs are very weak i suffer with aching joints knee and anke and also cannot walk long distances ie evan a day out leaves my legs weak and aching for days.
Could this be caused by my throid problems?

Hi welcome to HCM...

You are taking treatment for hypothyroidism...(induce after radioactive iodine therapy )....
According to TSH level dose is adjusted ...

Here thyroid problem can lead muscle weakness.

For joint pain local part x ray has to be done to rule out arthritis .....

Your calcium level also should be checked. ...
If low calcium than treated with sachet taken once a week...

Your b12 level , CBC also should be done .

Take care
