Are Itching, Irritation And Hair Loss Symptoms Of Scalp Psoriasis?
My son has irritation &itching on his scalp. He has hair loss and dandruff.scales form on the head .when he scratches blood comes and patches are formed on the head. Is it soriosis? What is the problem & what can be done. He is down syndrome 34 years boy. I am very much worried. We used Triben-XT ointment on physician s advice but no use.

According to your complaints it seems to seborrhoeic dermatitis.
I would recommend you to use a ketoconazole containing shampoo twice weekly and apply a lotion containing clotrimazole and beclomethasone on the affected areas of the scalp twice daily.
Besides this give him antihistaminic like tablet levocetrizine 5 mg twice daily.
