Are Heart Palpitations, Increased Heart Rate And Skipped Beat A Cause For Concern?
I have been having problems with heart palpitations and sometimes my heart rate gets up to 150 beats per minute while at rest. Is this dangerous and when should I think about going to emerg. I have been to a heart specialist and he said everything was fine but it has been getting more frequent and faster. I also have skipped beats and sometimes it feels like the heart is flip flopping.
Hello, It is not normal to have heart rates that high. If it stays at 150 for several hours then you should go to Emergency. It would be good for you to see a cardiologist again. You may need a Holter Monitor to determine the cause of this rapid and irregular heart rhythm. In any case see your regular doctor right away and let him/her know of this worsening of your condition Regards
