Are Hard, Painful And Numb Scabs On The Nose A Sign Of Parasites?

I am on Plavix after a June 2015 heart attack and stent (1) procedure. Developed a rash in September, treated with 2 separate rounds of prednisone which lessened it, but not cured. Dermatologist now diagnoses Bullous dermititis and prescribed mycophenolate 500 mg/ 3x day. I am 86 and am concerned about taking a strong anti-immune drug. There were no cautions/restrictions conveyed by the prescribing physician, but shouldn t I be care about crowds and such? Advice, please.

Hello,

The possible causes for scans in the nose may be due to:

1. Allergies
2. TRAUMA
3. Herpes
4. Environmental dryness
5. Drugs
6. Sinusitis
7. Nasal sprays
8. Nasal Cancer et cetera

Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your doctor, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
