Are Forehead Thermometers For Kids Accurate?

My three yr. old daughter has a temp. of 102.9 with a thermometer that you place on the forehead. Do I add a point to it or would this be an accurate reading? Also, would you recommend taking her to the ER? Shes had a fever since last night but not as high and she s been laying around all evening and says her head hurts when I ask her where she feels sick. Just rechecked temp and its 104.2

This thermometer is not 100 % accurate. But variations is only slight. So if you have fever of 104 then you should consult your doctor urgently. Consult your doctor and go for routine blood investigation. Then take treatment accordingly.
