Are Fatigue, Chills, Joint Pains And Dry Mouth Early Signs Of STDs?

Hi, i had protected sex, with a high risk individual, although i did use protection, i did preform oral and gave her a (rim-job), the following day i woke up with a blocked nose..two days after i experianced tingling in my lips and my throat become awefully sore as if i had tosilitus...which after close inspection my top gums had also turned a dark brown colour which was also giving me slight toothe ache. my tempreture was unbalanced as i would become hot then really cold (chills) maybe 2-3 days after this i suffered extreme burning in my neck and shoulders which later went away only to be extremely stiff now, and i have tingling sensations in my legs and arms, muscle and joint pains..extreme fatigue, and a persistant headache which has lasted over two weeks. oh and my breath has become very smelly and my mouth is very dry and claggy

HIV AIDS Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
You had a protected intercourse. But you had a oral sex with a girl.
Possibility of STD/HIV is very low.
There is every likelihood of you catching a non STD bacterial or viral infection following the oral rim-job with that girl. HIV manifestations could not occur on the very next day. Other STD also might not manifest in this way. All your symptoms like fever chills, nasal block, neck pain, muscle and joint pains, fatigue, head ache, bad breath, dry mouth were all possible with a streptococcal sore throat. Tooth ache might be a co-incidence. The possibility of STD is unlikely. Consult your physician, he/she will help you to clear your symptoms. Get well soon.
