Are Doxycyclin, Lactic Bacillus, Belar Forte And Elina The Right Medication For Pimples In Face And Neck?

hello...this is neha from chandigarh..suddenly i got so many pimples on my face and neck..i visited a dermatologist today...she has prescribed me doxycyclin and lactic bacillus capsule twice a day, belar forte twice a day and elina once a day...are the medicines fyn?

Welcome to healthcare magic.
I understand from your history that you are suffering from moderate to severe acne.
Doxycycline-Lactobacillus is an antibiotic which is used in the treatment of acne.
Belar forte is a steroid and I would personally not prescribe this to a patient with pimples. It worsens the pimples and could also cause steroid induced acneiform eruption. I am not sure why this has been prescribed to you.
Elina is an anti itching tablet. While this will not worsen your pimples, this will not help you in clearing your pimples as well.
I would suggest that you could continue with Doxycycline and use a gel containing clindamycin phosphate in the morning and 2.5 % Benzoyl peroxide at bedtime.
Please check with your dermatologist as to why the other two tablets were prescribed.
