Hi. Dizzy spells with diabetes can occur due to a variety of conditions the most common being hypoglycemia. Since the blood glucose level checked by you is normal a possible explanation could be something called relative hypoglycemia in which you will have symptoms even with normal glucose levels as they are lower compared to the earlier high levels. That with settle in some time. But I would recommend you to check again as you could be in the early honey moon phase where your insulin requirements need reduction. The other thing is Addison's disease which is seen in type 1 patients causing dizzy spells. Its always good to rule out thyroid and adrenal diseases when you have type one DM. And don't forget the celiac disease. They are all autoimmune and are seen very commonly in those with type one DM. I don't mean to get you all wary abt it but you know knowledge abt your illness will empower you to deal with it in a better way. Take care.
