Are Cramping, Spotting And Swollen Breasts Signs Of Pregnancy?

I think I m pregnant but don t know if I am. My last real cycle was April 24 it was a really light flow, then the 25 I spotted. Which is really unusual for me. I had intercourse around the time I ovulated. I blew it off thinking I was stressed. But then in may, around my starting date I was cramping, my boobs were swollen and I was extremely tired. I started 3 days late. Well it wasn t even a flow. It was a rusty colored spotting that lasted that day alone. Now I find myself tired during the day, and sometimes with insomnia at night. I get nauseous, sometimes all day and I get really emotional. But I have another 12 days until I m supposed to start my next period. My doctor told me I could still have a light flow and be pregnant. I m scared to test because I don t wanna hope for it and then be let down. Is this normal?

Hi,
It is true that some light bleeding is possible around the period days with an existing pregnancy, but this is rare. You need to test for pregnancy immediately. If you have already seen a specialist, please ask for a pregnancy test and also a trans-vaginal sonogram. If pregnancy can be excluded, you should get investigated further for the possibility of hormone imbalances and get further management. Your symptoms can also coexist with hormonal irregularities. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
