Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your query your infant have symptoms of cough, congested nose and fever which is indirectly related to teething. Fever is very common in teething due to increased irritability and exertion by child. When teeth are erupting in oral cavity, gums become painful and child start putting fingers in oral cavity to press gums and because of this habit of putting anything in mouth, child becomes susceptible to various infections. You do not need to worry.

I would suggest you to visit pediatrician once and get it examined. If it is bacterial infection start with proper course of antibiotics. Till then give crocin. You can buy teethers that are available specially for this purpose for child to chew on. Give water after every few minutes. Give diet rich in multivitamins along with plenty of fluids.

Hope your concern has been resolved. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
