Are Cold, Throat Infection, Fever, Burning Sensation While Urinating Signs Of STD?

Hello Doctor, I met a sexual worker 0n 02/02/10 for sensual massage, there was no penetration sex involved. I am worried about other STD's. Two days prior to the meet i was on a hectic travel in bus for close to 10 + 10 hours journey and i had cought up cold and cough. I was slightly restless. After the incident(meeting sexual worker),After two days, i got fever, headache, burning sensation while urinating, a pimple on and above the lip(i think this was their earlier too, not sure, but it didnt seem like the one that would cause for STD, it was just a puss formation and dried out within two days). I had throat infection, i did gargling with betadine solution and throat infection subsided within a day. Took a paracetamol, fever too subsided.Throat infection, cold and fever are common to me since childhood and i usually go for paracetamol and gargling, this gives me immediate relief.Do you think i might have contracted any STD's, is there any test i have to go through. Can you refer any clinic in Bangalore for the same.

Thanks,
Anand

Hello and welcome to HCM,
If yu did not have unprotected penetrative sex, there is no possibility to transmitting any sexually transmitted infection.
The symptoms of burning urination could be due to urinary tract infection.
Fever and headache can be associated with urinary tract infection.
You can get routine urine examination to look for the evidence of infection in the urinary tract.
If infection is detected, appropriate antibiotic has to be taken.
Other symptoms of throat infection, pus filled lesion, cough and cold are non-specific and are not suggestive of any sexually transmitted disease.
However, inorder to rule out STDs, you need to get serological tests for STds.

Thanks and take care
