Hi,
Braxton-Hicks' contractions are usually felt at the fundal region and are milder in nature and pass off in a few seconds. Sometimes they may get triggered by a fetal movement. There is no associated back ache or pain radiating into the thighs. If this happens, it means you are in labor. Also, associated vaginal discharge is a feature of true labor. Stress, infections, constipation etc., can cause these contractions. Please take rest for at least two hours in the day and eight hours in the night, preferably in the left lateral position. If you find relief, you can wait until you see your doctor this week; else, go to the emergency room. Hope this helps.
