Are Blood Stains Normal After Removing Skin Tags With Electric Cauterizer?

I just had some skin tags removed from my neck and face area. The dr used electric cauterizer. It s been a few hours and the round bandaid he covered them with shows blood stains. Is this normal? I am concerned with the movement of the area that I may have opened the wound? Should I remove the bandaid and check or better to leave alone?

hi there.
1. electric cautery is nothing but cutting the skin with electrode.
2. usually we can expect bleeding after the procedure, which gets clotted within 1-2 minutes, depending upon the size of the lesion.
3. when we disrupt the healing process, it will lead to bleeding.
so don't worry about the blood stains and keep the bandaid placed for minimum of 5-8 hours.
4. before removing bandaid, gently wet the bandaid with spirit or dettol and then try to remove.
this will prevent injury to the healed scab.
