Are Bloating, Fatigue And Delayed Menstruation Signs Of Menopause?
I am 49 years old. My period is about a week late, I am also have some minor irritation when I urinate. I am not on birth control and had unprotected sex one time a few days after my last period. I have never been pregnant before. I am also bloated and tired. I haven t taken a pregnancy test yet as it seems soon but am wondering if this could be related to menopause.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Feeling bloated and tired is not suggestive of menopause. Menopause is characterised by reduction in frequency and duration of menstrual cycles. Delay in periods is common in healthy menstruating women. In case you want to confirm or rule out pregnancy, you can take up an urine pregnancy test. Bloating and tiredness can be seen in pre-menstrual phase, thus, these symptoms can be indicative of pre-menstrual syndrome.
