Are Amaryl 1mg And Cetapin Xr- 500 Mg Safe For Diabetes?

I have recently diagnosed as diabetic, I am a indian . My doctor has put me on Amaryl - 1mg and Cetapin XR - 500 mg for the next 15 days and asked me to avoid any oil or sweet products as of now. Will shortly I will be required to start taking injections also and will I have to be throughout life on medicines

The drugs Amaryl - 1mg and Cetapin XR - 500 mg are effective anti diabetic drugs and are quite safe in diabetes. Depending on the blood sugar levels, Diet, exercise and basic dosage of drugs are tried first. Once the dose is set to control sugar levels, that medication is continued until sugar levels are controlled. With time few people need to increase the dosage. Some need not.

But medication should be for life time with proper diet and exercise. Insulin is only last option. You need not worry. As of now its too early.
