Hi dear user
I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

Subclinical hypothyroidism (SCH) in pregnancy is defined as a thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) level above the pregnancy-related reference range with a normal serum thyroxine concentration.

SCH is a laboratory diagnosis because patients are usually asymptomatic.
It is very very important to do regularly the thyroid tests TSH,freeT3 and freeT4 and anti-thyroid antibodies during the tre trimesters of pregnancy to assure that you will not have hypothyroidism because it is associated with adverse fetal neurologic effects.

For the problem of weight reduction metformin 500 can help, but in my opinion you need to consult a dietologist because your hypocaloric diet must be studied to provide the nutrients of your growing baby needs.

The right treatement of your hypothyroidism and the dietetic regimen will help you for the weight reduction.Anyway this problem will be more easy to solve after pregnancy.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Thank you for using HCM.
