Are Statins Advisable For Average Cholesterol Levels?

i recently had my the top of my big toe amputated, after my legs swelled, and it went black. the consulltants thought i had buergers disease but luckily it wasn t they concluded it was a clot. i just had my cholestorol level results which is 5.7. my doctor has put me on statins are they neeeded for me i am 46 male

yes they are definitely needed..infact ur lucky that clot went diwn to lower limb...if it would have gone to cardiac/renal/cerebral system...it could have dmaged aalot systems.
