Are Glycomet And Telma H Right Medicines For Diabetes?

Hello Dr., I am 57,Male. I have been advised to take the following to keep my Sugar & B.P in control. GLYCOMET 500 MG ONE + TELMA H 1/2 TAB., AFTER BREAK FAST, ECOSPRIN-AV 75 & SHELCAL-500 after Lunch, since I am having Gastric , I am having GELUSIL after meals. is it ok doctor. kindly advice me to avoid any side effects. Thanks for posting your query.

Well the medicines what you are taking is fine as long as your BP and Sugars are under control .

But since you also mentioned that you are having Gastric problem I would recommend you to reduced the intake of Shellcal to half tablet a day.

Also Gelusil has to be taken before meals and not after meals . Take Glycomet also after meals . If your gastric problem persists inspite of all these then you need to change Glycomet tablet to some other alternative ( Galvus )
