Are E-CTA Findings Of Chest Suggestive Of Pulmonary Hypertension?
E-CTA chest w/wo cont showed positive for pulmonary emboli - thrombi seen within pulmonary arteries extending into right lower lobe, right middle lobe, right upper lobe, left lower lobe. some are near occlusive. thoracic aorta shows atherosclerotic changes present. Would this rule out pulmonary hypertension?
Thanks for your question on HCM. I can understand your situation and problem. You are having pulmonary embolism in your report. And it is involving major pulmonary vessels. So this can definitely cause pulmonary hypertension due to back pressure changes. So you will likely have pulmonary hypertension and the cause for the same is pulmonary hypertension. So better to consult pulmonologist and discuss all these. Start treatment as soon as possible.
