Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hello
Thanks for your query.
It's very tough to tell about the recurrence of disease because recurrence is common in sarcoidosis and steroid is the treatment of choice. We have not much options at our hand. So you have to go for frequent monitoring for side effects of steroid that may arise from long tern use of steroids like diabetes, osteoporosis, cataract etc. If any symptoms suggestive of steroid adverse effect arise consult your doctor soon and go through proper evaluation for these side effects. Be in a regular follow up of a good pulmonologist.
Thank you
Regards,
Dr Arnab Maji
