Sometimes it may so happen that the tests for rheumatic disease may be negative
but clinically the sign and symptoms may suggest the diagnosis of rheumatic disease:in that situation I advise you to go ahead with the treament on the lines of rheumatic disease as initial short course of some duration what we call as a THERAPEUTICAL TRIAL, and if you benefit from the treatment significantly it proves the diagnosis retrospectively.Reasons for the tests not coming positive are many, one reason may be random medications being taken by the patient on multiple advices
beiing given from various sources.
