Any Suggestion For Flying With Low Hemoglobin And Ferritin Levels?

hi - also concerned about flying with low hemoglobin - 100. my ferratin is 2. flying from Canada to Thailand. are there things i should be aware of. this is chronic anemia and i have been in this state for years - so my body is well adjusted to this (as well as you can be to low iron!)

From your description you are concerned about flying a long distance and you have chronic anemia. Since your body is accustomed to the lower hemoglobin levels you should not have problems with the airplane. The cabin pressure inside a plane is the same as if you traveled to and elevation of6000ft or 2000miters.Most people can tolerate this without problems

The biggest concern I have with anyone traveling in a plane for long distances is developing blood clots in the lower legs from inactivity and sitting is a chair so long. I recommend that you exercise your calf muscles several times an hour and to walk the aisles several times during the flight.
