General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear,

Most of the weight gain supplements claim to be free from any side effects if taken in the optimum dose.
But, they may be harmful if taken for a prolonged time.
So, before choosing any health supplement, it is advisable to consult your family physician once.

Moreover, you should not compromise on routine healthy food such as:
1. Consume more of natural diet like fresh fruits, green vegetables, milk, eggs, wheat, etc.
2. Avoid oily and junk food.
3. Stay away from smoking & alcohol.

Despite these measures, if you experience difficulty, it will be better to rule other causes of underweight.
Investigations like complete blood count, thyroid profile, estimation of blood sugar level will be helpful to rule out any chronic infection, hormonal and metabolic causes.

Wishing you a healthy life.
Take care.

Hi im dr.hema physiotherapist.

Welcome to HCM.

You can increase your weight by diet and exercises.
Always remember to maintain your BMI.

Take healthy fats that can be obtained from foods like peanuts, cashews, and olive oil. Stay away from saturated fats (bad fats) gained from processed foods, fries, high calorie foods.

Go for high-protein. Though it's a myth that protein builds muscle, it is an essential part of your diet.it's a building block of our entire body: muscles, bones, skin, hair, and blood.

This doesn't mean eating junk food and sugars; it means lots of protein and carbohydrates.

Weight training will develop some of your muscles.
Do push-ups, crunches, lunges, and squats in the comfort of your own home while watching TV or join gym.
Exercising also builds up your appetite. After a workout, slam a protein bar or shake to give your muscles what they're craving. Increase your workout as you progress.

Have good sleep everyday.

Hope it helps you.

In doubt do reply.
