Any Side Effects Of Using Voltaren, Naproxen, Baclofen While On Diabetic, High BP And Cholesterol Medicines ?
Hello Dr., How are you? I am Zenia. My father is prescribed to treat his osteoarthiritis with voltaren 1% gel and Naproxen EC 500mg. He has pain on his left shoulder. He is also prescribed to take Baclofen 20mg for treating pain associated with spinal cord injury, multiple scelorosis and muscle spasm. He is diabetic and has high blood pressure and high cholesterol. He had coronary artery bypass graft, or CABG in 2010. what are the side effect he might have of using these medications? Thank you for your help.
Hi, Good morning. Voltaren gel is safe to use and will have no side effects (s/e) Naproxen is a pain killer that needs to be avoided on long term use as it can cause kidney damage and stomach ulcerations. Baclofen can have sedation, swaying while walking and addiction
He can continue voltaren and baclofen but naproxen needs to be stopped at the earliest. shoulder physiotherapy might help his pain instead of pain killers. hope i am clear.
