Any Side Effects Of Taking Cortisone Injection? Unable To Walk After Prolotherapy Shots, Suspected Nerve Damage

I am considering a cortisone injection. However, I am skeptical because I had adverse effects after 2 prolotherapy shots. The second one was the most severe. After the injection I was unable to walk. It took30-45 minutes before I could walk. I suspect nerve damage due to the injections. I have read about adverse side effects with cortisone injections as well and fear the consequences with a cortisone shot in my hip.

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
I think you got this injection intramuscular , so may got damage or irritation at nerve underlying it. '
When option was for intravenous , than why got intramuscular ?
2nd side effects of cortisone are as ,
sodium & fluid retention,
potassium & calcium depletion,
muscle wasting,
weakness,
nausea , vomiting,
These are most common side effects beside other side effects.
Consult one more physician and get his opinion ( 2nd one ) for treatment .
Good luck.
