Hi,

Like all medicines, Folitrax (Methotrexate) also has many side effects. The most serious ones are liver damage and bone marrow suppression. Since it suppresses the immune system, there is a risk of developing infections. It depletes the folic acid levels and you should take folic acid supplements. In my opinion, you should not worry about the side effects but rather follow your doctor's instructions and inform him immediately if you feel that you are having any adverse effects.

Best wishes.
