Any Cure For Membranoproliferative Glomerulonephritis?

My uncle was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney infection. They used the term Membranoprolifeative Glomerulone Phritis . I m uncertain of what this means. Will my uncle die? Is there a cure? How long before it progresses to stage 4? How many stages are there?
