Ankle Injury, Bruising. Hurts To Walk. Help

Hi, thanks for your time. I fell on my left ankle 2 saturdays ago (now the following wednesday) and have twisted it. I m limping when i walk but now I can climb stairs! Its very bruised but i dont want to go to the hospital as if i end up on crutches i will not be able to go to work. I cant work from home. Im hoping it will just go away and to be honest its not as bad as it was last week but it still really hurts to walk on. Help!

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello

Most probably you may be having ankle sprain .
you need to take rest and supportive splint or crepe bandage will help.
If pain doesnt relieve you may need to do x ray ankle to rule out any bony injury.
Do ice fomentation.
Later on physiotherapy will help .

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care
