This morning after I had sex with my husband I realized my vaginal area was unusually sore. I took some Ibuprophen and went on with my day thinking nothing of it. I had to work until an hour ago and was still experiencing the pain. Came home, took a shower, and when I was drying off, noticed, (nearly obstructing the opening of my vagina-directly on the top inside less than 1/2 inch inside) a hard swelling the size and shape of a large glass marble, from which (after feeling it) realized the pain is orginating. It reminds me of a swollen lymph node. I was worried and called the hospital, spoke with a nurse who told me she did not believe it was anything to be concerned about. Is it? Or rather, what is going on? I am quite worried. Any help is much appreciated! p.s. neither my husband nor myself have ever had an std or any other abnormalities.
