Am I Pregnant If Having Mild Cramping, Tiredness, Strong Metallic Taste In Mouth?

I was having mild cramping for about 7 days before my period then I started to bleed 1day after I was due for 2 days. It was quite light for me and bright red. Now I'm feeling very tired all the time and have a very strong metalic taste in my mouth. Could I be pregnant or just run down and iron deficient

Hi,
To know for sure whether you are pregnant or not in the current scenario, I would recommend an estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres as they are very sensitive and specific. If positive, it could be that the spotting you had at the time of your natural period was possibly an implantation bleed. A trans-vaginal sonogram taken a week after the period helps to confirm/ exclude pregnancy and also to know the status of the pelvic organs. The symptoms you have can be seen in very early pregnancy too. Hope this helps.
