Am I Having Arthritis?

I have been experiencing in my right thigh muscle spasms and severe pain causing me to loose my balance. There are days I have very little pain, but for the last 4 days I have had to use a cane to keep my balance because my leg looses its strength. At this very moment it is hard to get up out of a chair without a cane. Could this just be arthritis or something else?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I have studied your case.

Raised intracranial pressure can lead to lower leg weakness and blurring of vision.

CT scan may not detect minor bleed or infact so,
When such patient comes to my hospital we usually do MRI brain or MRA [magnetic angiography].
Neurotropic medication like methylcobalamine 1500 mcg daily will help for improving focus.
MRI spine may also help if required after clinical examination.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
