Am 15 weeks pregnant. Lower stomach pain, anus pressure, hurts to sit. Can you help?

Hi, I am 15.5 weeks pregnant & have pressure pain in the bottom of my belly, I also have pressure in my anus & it hurts, it even hurts to sit on it, sometimes I get like spasams & I thought maybe it s because I have been eating more & need to go toilet to relieve the pain, & also thought it is when I have gas, but after i go toilet, it still hurts, hope you can help, thank you Kerry

It seems that you are having pain in the sacrum and lower spine due to relaxation of the joints and decreased calcium levels in the body. Doing hot sitz bath, taking mild pain killer like acetaminophen and avoiding any constipation will help in relieving your symptoms.

Hi Kerry, it appears as though you are having either hemorrhoids or anal fissure. Most often pregnancy itself and faulty food habits lead to constipation. Constipation aggravates the condition. I would suggest you to meet your gynecologist for appropriate treatment after examination. Do follow good diet ( fiber rich food ) and drink plenty of water (2-3L/day).
