Alzheimer Patient Prescribed Flucoxacillin To Treat Cellulitis. Will It Work If Not Taken As Per Instruction?
hi my grandmother has been prescribed flucoxacillin to treat cellulitis in her legshowever it is not possible to monitor her all the time as to when she has eaten especially as she has alzheimers. I am just wondering if the medication will work even if she has eaten as the instructions say to take on an empty stomach? thanks

Antibiotics would work, as long as she takes the medications.
However, because of Alzheimer's if she forgets to take the antibiotics, the clinical effect may not be seen.
