Addicted To Cigarettes. Should I Start Chantix?

I am hopelessly addicted to cigarettes and I've been considering Chantix as an answer. I'm about to get a health care program from work but that won't be until November. They have a program and are using Chantix. I have an appointment this week at the clinic to follow up on a recent illness and was considering asking the doctor there for a prescription for Chantix. Is this something I should do or should I wait for the health care program?

De-addiction treatment methods are numerous. Chantix is a drug which might stop the bad habit in smokers. Studies suggest only 44% succeeded in the trial. But there were numerous other factors also, like family support, non availability etc. Also Chantix do have side effects in long run.

You must try a de-addiction treatment plan without any substitute substance. Mental might is the key and your willingness to continue the step forward. Also have faith in yourself.
