Accidentally Swallowed Coins, Sore Throat. Should I Take Medical Action?

Hello. I am a 20 year old male. 5 4 in height and app. 125lbs. 4-5 days ago I accidentally swallowed to coins roughly around 25mm. I have had no symptoms- other than a sore throat that went away yesterday- and have passed regular bowl movements since the time I swallowed the coins. I have not rigorously checked my bowl movements but I have not seen the coins. Should I take medical action?

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Usually such coin gets excreted with the stool but in some cases it can stuck (usually where the small intestine connects large one) and give bowels obstruction. That is why I suggest you to visit your doctor and have abdominal X-ray performed. It will tell either it is there or not.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
