Abdominal Ultrasound Shows Chronic Gastritis. Blood Tests Normal. High SGPT Value. Pimples On Skin

i have my abdomen ultrasound which showed everything normal in size and texture apart from the fact that stomach was carrying excess gas. The remarks on the report were chronic gastritis. I had some eating disorders for the past four years during which i had to skip my meals (specially breakfast) because of the tough working schedules. Month ago i took complete blood tests in which everything was normal including all liver functions except one, SGPT. It was high with value of 112 where normal upper range was 50. I am having a lot of skin problems specially face and back of the neck with pimples carrying infection which also pains, and leaves permanent marks on my skin. Kindly help me as i have started taking food on proper time but still the excessive gas is disturbing me and having mouth chores.

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

It is impossible to diagnose chronic gastritis with an ultrasound. It can be only suspected.

In case of stomach inflammation (chronic gastritis) or other stomach disease (peptic ulcer or even stomach cancer) you should have upper abdominal pain, nausea, loss of appetite. Burping can be a symptom of stomach issues.
Burping can be also caused by increased air swallowing due to loose dentures, eating too fast, chewing gum, drinking carbonated drinks.

Your SGTP level is only slightly elevated. This can be caused by bad diet (fatty foods), alcohol intake, fatty liver. I suggest you to change your diet (avoid fatty foods, alcohol, spicy foods, fried foods, medicines like pain killers) and have your liver tests repeated in a month or so.
Stomach should be verified with gastroscopy. This is the best way to diagnose chronic gastritis.

Your pimples can be cause by your diet as well, or by many other reasons. You should visit dermatologist for proper diagnostics and treatment.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
