Abdominal Pains During Pregnancy A Sign Of Ectopic Pregnancy?

Hi I'm Sharon I just want to know if this is a sign of ectopic pregnancy or normal sign of early pregnancy?I had my last period October 13 & end up October 17. At this month I dont have my period until now.I just took a pregnancy test the result is positive but I am suffering with abdominal pains during the night compare to daytime. I am scared that maybe a ectopic pregnancy since I had a history before when I was 21 yrs old now I am 34. Kindly give me an explanation about it. And I don't know how I will count the start of my pregnancy. I will be meeting my gynaecologist next week.. Pls advice. Thank you very much.

welcome

the 1st day of pregnancy counting is the 1st day of your last menses...then add 9 months and 7 days to get your due date of delivary..

in early pregnancy, one sided lower abdominal pain can be due to many causes ,one of the cause can be ectopic pregnancy...

so without examination and sonograohy , diagnosis of cant be confirmed...

ya previous ectopic increases the chance of ectopic in present pregnancy also

better to do sonography to confirm diagnosis..
thanks
