Abdomen Pain Lower Side, Drunk Heavily At Night. What Could Be Causing This?

Hi, My name is Seth. Ever since i woke up Saturday morning i ve had a very sharp pain by applying hand pressure to the lower left side of the abdomen . I was drinking heavily the night before. I ve never had my appendix taken out, but its not a pain on my lower right side so i don t think it could be appendicitus. I would greatly appreciate any feed back on the subject.

Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.

The cause of your abdominal pain can be due to increased alcohol intake resulting in increased acid secretion in the stomach.
It is not an appendicitis pain as pain due to appendix occurs in right side.

You can take antacid like Omeprazole 20 mg once a day before meals.
Is pain is severe, you can take pain killer like Mefenemic acid along with antispasmodic like Dicycloverine after meals.

You should avoid excessive alcohol.
Your diet should be light and should contain less spice/oil. It should be prepared hygeinically.
Driink lots of pure water daily.

If the problem persists, get yourself examined clinically.

I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks.
