ASO Content In My Blood Is Above 400 Units. Is It Serious For Valve Problems Or I Can Have My Treatment After 2 Months ?
I am having rumetic artheritis ,and ASO content in my blood is above 400 .is it serious for valve problems or I can have my treatment after 2 months.

Hi well come to HCM.
Aso titre is done to diagnose rheumatic fever.It is antibody against B-haemolytic
streptococci bacteria responsible for causing rheumatic fever. More than 200 is
diagnostic. It may remain in blood even after starting treatment. For activity of
disease C- reactive protein is seen. Severity has nothing to do with ASO titre.
