9 Year Old With Persisting Fever, Constant Cough And Poor Appetite. Viral Infection?

Hi there. My daughter is 9 and she has been with fever for past 8 days.. it goes up and down ranging 99.9 to 102. She has had a constant cough for past 5 days during the day. Her appetite is also very bad. I am getting her to have fluids and rest but I m not sure what to do. I took her to pediatrics Wednesday and he said it was the end of the virus.

Pneumonias often present this way. They also do have rapid breathing and reduced intake alongwith.
