7th Week Of Pregnancy, Put On Duphaston, Weekly HCG Shotts Till 12th Week, Dilated Uterus, Spotting. Is It Safe ?

I M in my 7th week of pregnancy. My doc has put me on duphaston tablets 3 times a day and weekly hcg5000 shots till my 12th week. My uterus is dilated nd there is a clot too. I also experience slight spotting if i do any activity. Are the hcg injections good for me? Will there be any harm to my fetus? Any chances of abnormality?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
HCG is a hormone which is normally secreated by placenta during the pregnancy. Taking the injections will help in supporting the placental function till 14 weeks of age after which placenta takes over the function. It has no side effects and is safe.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
