6 Year Old With Ear And Sinus Infection, Fever. Fever Not Coming Down Despite Taking Antibiotics. Need Urgent Care?

My 6 year old was treated for 10 days with an antibiotic for sinus infection . It did improve, but did not go away completely (he has a history of this and usually needs a repeat antibiotic to clear it). He has since developed ear infection along with his unresolved sinus infection. He has been put on a different antibiotic and has been on it for 5 days. There was initial improvement in the first couple days, but he is now running a fever of 101.7 and has had blood shot eyes for a couple days. Now what do you recommend? Calling his pediatrician for advice, or just taking him back in to urgent care?

Pediatrician 's  Response
he needs urgent care. he needs tobe given iv antibiotics. because there is deep seated infection in the sinus cavity as well as ear infection and it may spread to other sites if not promptly treated. so admit the child in hospital and treat.
