5 Year Kid, Pain And Redness In Vaginal Area, Painful, Smell. Has Biliary Atresia. Recommendations?
My daughter Is almost 5 and has off and on pain and redness in her vaginal area. Today she said her private are hurt so while trying to clean it she screamed in pain. This has happened before but I always just clean her vaginal area very good and she is better in a day. She has never screamed like this before and I have also noticed a little of a smell coming from there.
Her past history is she has biliary atresia. No transplant as of yet but does take 7 medication. So you think this is just normal for kids her age or could it be a side effect from her "liver" medications. I have been on her to make sure she wipes correctly. The times I have watched her wipe she does it correctly.

I dont know which exactly medicine is she taking but it can be side effect of certain medicines. This isnt common symptom in her age and it should be investigated. ALso it can be due to vaginal infection, allergy or irritation so make sure not to use underwear or creams which provole her symptoms. Check her bilirubin levels because it can cause itchiness al all around the body. WIsh you good health.
