5 Weeks Pregnant, Heavy Bleeding, Closed Cervix. Doctor Suggests Chance Of Abortion. What Could Be Wrong?
I started bleeding yesterday morning and im still bleeding today. the docter told me im five weeks pregnant. ihave heavy bleeding like a period and back pain. they said it might be a miscarriage but they don't know for sure. and my cervix is closed. I am in panic. I don't know what else to do. do u know what could be wrong?

The bleeding at such an early stage can be due to threatened abortion or an implantation bleeding. Progesterone supplements will help you. It can happen due to a chromosomal abnormality or an infection.

The bleeding in early pregnancy indicates abortion. The clear picture can be assesed after pelvic sonography. Pl. get it done. It will confirm weather the pregnancy can be saved or abortion is sure.(inevitable) A Gynac's consultation is a must.
IN such case you should take compleate bed rest. Light diet. avoid strain (psychological/physical).
The thretend abortions at this stage are mostly due to defficiancy of pregnancy hormones. They should be supplimented according to your Dr's advice.
If the sonography reveils an inevitable abortion( i.e. the preg. not viable)- the pregnancy is to be removed with medicines/surgery(evacuation.) & it becomes essential to take utmost care in next coseption &avoid such mishap again.
